Where’s All the Fun?
The Parade goes through downtown Yamhill, past T&E General Store before ending around 2nd street.
The best place to sit is on the corner near T&E General Store where the announcer and speakers will be setup.
Derby Days is held at Beulah Park on E 3rd St.
Parking:
There is minimal parking around Beulah Park, with limited street parking. Find a parking spot early and walk up 3rd street to the parade, or park near Larson House or Lago De Chapala and walk down to the park after the parade.
Other Important Things to Know:
Is there an ATM at the park?
No. Please bring cash or credit cards to make purchases at the vendor booths and silent auction.
What should I bring?
Chairs for the parade. Sunscreen. Good vibes.
Will the Parade Have an Announcer?
Yes! This year we have MAC Audio providing an outdoor speaker system - we’re hoping it’s much easier to hear the show this year. The announcer will be on the corner in front of T&E General Store.
What’s a Silent Auction?
We’ll have items that have been donated to Derby Days set out on tables. You bid on the items by writing down your bid with your bidder number. The highest bid at the end of the auction wins and purchases the item for that price. Best part, you get something new and it’s all a tax write off!
What’s a Frog Jumping Contest?
Well, we don’t need Google for this one. Everyone brings a frog, or borrows one, and we see which frog jumps the farthest in three jumps. The frogs like things wet, so watch out for the fireman’s water hose!
Who Puts on Derby Days?
Yamhill Community Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit, organizers Derby Days and maintains Beulah Park in conjunction with the city. Derby Days is funded by the generous donations from members of our community and local businesses. Thank you Derby Days sponsors!
